I love shopping for my little ones clothes as much as the next mom, but I have to say, sometimes a little help is just what I need.  I came across Sprouting Threads purely by accident and I just had to share it with you. Jennifer Martin, Co-Founder & CEO of Sprouting Threads allowed me to test it out, just so I could share it with all of you.

If you’ve never heard of Sprouting Threads before, here’s what it’s all about.

It’s a subscription-based service (think Citrus Lane or Starbucks Reserve) only instead of monthly, like most of them, it’s seasonally based. They offer styles for ages 2-8 currently. They do this with parents in mind.  They know we’re busy, and what better way to save time, than to have awesome kids clothes just your child’s size shipped directly to you?

To give you an idea of what you’ll get, here’s a few images of what we received when trying it out!

The outfits are adorable, stylish, and there was no running to the store.  No spending an hour getting everything packed for 20 minutes at the store only to be rushed and not have a chance to really look at clothes.

To get started, they ask a few questions.  Your child’s name, gender, and then they ask you to rate a bunch of images with different styles of children’s clothing pictured. Then finally, they get into birthdate and sizing. They even have a sizing chart to make it easy.

Each season you get to select how many outfits you want; anywhere from 2-5 pieces. You’ll get an automatic reminder so that you know it’s time to take action. They send you the outfits, you pick the ones you want and send back what you don’t.  You’ll be billed for the outfits you keep.  If you keep 2 or more outfits a season, the styling fee is waived! (How awesome is that?!)

Now, on to reThreading.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve moved into the next size of clothing and while cleaning out the old you realize that most of it looks like new (or still has the tag on it! oops).  That’s where rethreading comes in. Parents can send the outgrown outfits back to Sprouting Threads as rethreads. When you do, you’ll receive a credit for a future order.  Additionally, other members can opt to have rethreads sent to them in their seasonal box instead of all new outfits.

Sprouting Threads is a great option if you want stylish pieces delivered directly to you.  It will save you a ton of time and you know you’re getting the best, since they work with over 50 top children’s clothing lines.  The questionnaire and the set up of the service really makes it fun and interactive.
