The truth about the new fantastical flavor from Starbucks.
I love Starbucks. I’m a self-proclaimed junkie. I have to have it. Sure everyone has their favorite drinks, and if you’re like me, you’re always in line to try out whatever new fantastical flavor they come up with. I’m usually not disappointed.
Just a few days ago, the company introduced the new Toasted Graham Latte featuring:
Graham and sweet cream meet steamed milk and our signature espresso, then are finished off with a sprinkling of cinnamon graham crumbles for a less sweet perfect treat. – Starbucks.com
Needless to say I was pretty excited to try it. I wish I could say it was wonderful, fantastical, even pretty good. But I can’t. Usually the new drinks Starbucks dreams up are amazing.
This is the exception.
I’m sitting here as we speak finishing new Toasted Graham Latte and I am completely and utterly disappointed. With my first sip I thought “this taste is familiar.” So I kept sipping trying to put my finger on it.
And then, EUREKA!
The Toasted Graham Latte tastes almost exactly like the Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
Maybe my taste buds are off, but I don’t think so. I think it tastes a bit different, but different as in they made the Cinnamon Dolce Latte a bit wrong, not different like a new drink.
I know everyone else is raving about it. Like Eater or PopSugar but I just can’t get on board with this one. It’s a new name for something we’ve already had. Feel free to disagree in the comments. Who knows, maybe I got a bad one.
